RATES
Square Inch Price
I charge 2 cents per square inch for all designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches.
-
60 x 80 = 4800 square inches
-
4800 x .02 = $96.

My minimum quilting charge is $50. For example, a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.

Batting
I stock Quilters Dream batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend and 100% cotton.

-
Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
-
I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch.
For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.
65" of 100% cotton deluxe loft @ $0.40/in = $26.00
65" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.33/in = $21.45

-
If you prefer a batting different from what I stock, I can order that type of batting from Quilters Dream. These include 100% poly, black cotton/poly, 100% wool, Green Dream, or bamboo. This may incur some delays to completion of your quilt.
-
There is no charge if you wish to provide your own (high quality) batting.
Thread
I stock Glide (#40 weight).
-
The cost of thread is included in your square inch price.
-
If you wish to use more than one thread color, an additional fee of $4.00 per additional thread color will be added to your invoice.
-
This is your quilt. Let me know if you have a thread color preference. I prefer to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of a quilt.
Photography
I am not a professional photographer but I do my best to take nice photos to highlight the quilt and its quilting. Upon completion of the quilting, I will take photos of your quilt, and email the photos for you to use however you would like. Please simply credit me for the photo and quilting if posting publicly. This extra service is included in your square inch price.

I live in Virginia, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I receive quilts by mail at a Post Office box so there will be no weather damage when your quilt top is delivered. Even so, I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit. Make sure the package is securely taped and labeled clearly.

Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It is a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but it is not required.
Taxes
As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. I'm required by the State of Virginia to collect a 6% sales tax on the sales portion of an invoice, including batting. Quilting service, shipping fees, and any design/pantograph costs are not subject to sales tax if outside the state of Virginia.
