ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm Liz. I'm excited you're here and I look forward to getting to know you. I want you to get to know me, too:
I am a longarm quilter. I began my quilting journey in 2010. I started with piecing and asked others to do the quilting. In 2019, I made time to rent a longarm machine at a local quilt shop. Although it was a few years before I started quilting in earnest, a dream was born!
With the generous support and unconditional encouragement of my family, I'm hanging up my shingle!

I view quilting as an essential artistic element in a completed quilt. I love the texture it adds to beautiful fabrics and piecing. It amplifies the beauty while also adding the cozy feel that a work of love deserves.

I am committed to continuous learning and experimenting, even while I want to honor the traditions in this art form.

I have a passion for art and history, but convinced myself neither would be practical pursuits. I ended up pursuing a career in international relations, which afforded me the opportunity to explore some of the world's cultures, history, and art. Every encounter brought new ideas and inspiration.

Even so, I often found myself wishing there was "more whimsy" in my life. With Imagination Quiltworks, I aim to create imaginative, whimsical, and innovative quilt designs.

I am a learner, dreamer, optimist, creative. I strive to be conscientious and compassionate. I value integrity, creative expression, innovation, tradition, faith, and family. I am an avid reader, with a strong bias toward fantasy, science fiction, romance, and history; I play cello; I'm a world traveller, interested in seeing art and ideas from different cultures and histories.
